Facing the Consequences

Posted by Robert Hendelson on Wed 23rd Jun 2021 5:18am

Despite being aware that my family has a history of diabetes, I didn’t pay attention and chose to enjoy my younger years without care. I smoked my life with my peers carelessly and without regret at that time. I remember my mother being worried about it and me just finding her annoying. She would nag and nag while I talked back, saying that she’s only overthinking it. I may have let it occupied my life a little too much more than I should have. When things get tough, smoking is the first thing that comes to mind. This was even my reaction after learning that I’ve come to developed diabetes. I hope I'll have the strength to remove my habit because otherwise, I wouldn't know what to do.
