Handling the Heat

How are you guys coping with the dramatic heat waves that are going across the US?  I am struggling.  The air is so thick that it's tough to breathe.  I feel for those with CHF and COPD.  This heat has to doubly tough on you guys.

The heat seems relentless, doesn't it?  I've never been so grateful to have a pool as I am now.  My two girls and I pretty much live in it during the day.

I live in the South where the humidity is worse than the heat.  It always feels sticky.  Luckily I'm still able to work from home, so I don't have to go out much.  The hospice nurse comes to the house to check on me.  I have my groceries delivered.  Staying inside with the AC on full blast is my coping method.

I try to remain hydrated and rely on the AC, but this is inconvenient because of my pneumonia. I find the cool air coming from it irritating that I'm just thankful it's not that hot at night.
